Snow science beyond boundaries

I’m Bareera Mirza, a Muslim, brown snow scientist from Karachi, Pakistan, and a PhD candidate at Oregon State University. My research explores snow characteristics by integrating data assimilation, modeling, satellite remote sensing, and hands-on field measurements. I’ve worked in cold and mountainous landscapes across Alaska, Colorado, and Oregon. When I’m not thinking about snow, you’ll likely find me hiking, practicing or teaching yoga, or experimenting in the kitchen
